Nipple Reduction

Nipple reduction performed to medical standards at Ethics Aesthetic Institute. Performed directly by specialist doctors.

Nipple Reduction

Many women, after pregnancy and breastfeeding, find that the nipple area becomes larger and longer, which can make them feel self-conscious about their appearance in front of their partner. In some cases, enlarged nipples may also be due to genetic factors. Follow TMV Ethics through the article below to better understand the nipple reduction method.

WHAT IS NIPPLE REDUCTION SURGERY?

Nipple reduction surgery is a cosmetic contouring procedure that narrows the nipple by removing the excess skin around the nipple, so that the nipple becomes neater and looks proportionate to the breast.

Nipple reduction surgery involves reducing the length of a long nipple or reshaping the nipple by cutting away excess tissue, to improve its size and its proportion to the breast.

WHO SHOULD CONSIDER THIS METHOD?

The nipple reduction technique is not suitable for everyone and should only be considered in the following cases:

- Large nipples

- Enlarged nipples

- Women who wish to improve "puffy nipples" to suit their body.

WHO SHOULD NOT UNDERGO NIPPLE REDUCTION?

The following cases should be carefully considered or require a doctor's indication before nipple reduction is performed:

- A history of high blood pressure or cardiovascular problems

- Inflammation in the breast area

- A tendency toward poor blood clotting

NOTES AFTER NIPPLE REDUCTION SURGERY

Although this is one of the procedures with the fewest complications among cosmetic surgeries, women should still take note to recognize and prevent problems and to achieve the most satisfying result.

- Depending on each person's constitution, the operated area may swell for 3 to 5 days.

- The surgical area may become inflamed if it is not kept clean in line with the doctor's instructions after surgery.

- Women can go home to rest after surgery, without needing to stay in the clinic as they would after breast lift surgery.

- If mild pain is felt, women may use pain relievers to ease the discomfort.

- Return after 7 days for stitch removal and for the doctor to check the condition.

- Afterwards, women can resume normal daily activities

- Limit foods that cause swelling and pus formation for 1 month after surgery.

- Clean the surgical area with saline solution and betadine alcohol to avoid infection.

- In the early period after surgery, avoid knocks and contact with the chest area.

RESULTS AFTER NIPPLE REDUCTION

After nipple reduction surgery, women may achieve a neat, well-proportioned nipple that matches the breast as they hoped. Furthermore, nipple reduction surgery does not affect women who are breastfeeding, as it is purely an external procedure.

Results after nipple reduction

Nipple reduction surgery is a procedure that is relatively straightforward to perform and does not invade the deeper tissues. However, if women do not choose a reputable aesthetic clinic and a doctor with good technique, they may be more likely to experience poor suturing or unwanted complications.
