Delayed execution

What is the difference between a breast lift for ptosis and a breast augmentation? Many women often confuse a breast lift for ptosis with a breast augmentation. So, what exactly is a breast lift for ptosis? Let's explore this further with Ethics Clinic in the article below

WHAT IS "TRAILING STOP"?

Breast lift surgery, also known as mastopexy, is a procedure designed to correct sagging breasts by directly addressing the breast tissue to improve the appearance and reposition the breasts to their natural position

For women who have given birth and experience sagging breasts or signs of aging, this method can be applied to lift and enhance the breasts, helping them to better complement their body shape

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT LEVELS OR GRADES OF SAND?

The degree of prolapse will be categorized into 4 levels, and for each level, doctors will recommend different treatment options. Below are the 4 levels of prolapse that women can use to self-assess their condition

Level 1: Slight delay

At stage 1, the breasts begin to show signs of drooping, where the nipples start to move downwards below the horizontal line across the areola by 1 to 3 centimeters. This is a mild degree of sagging, primarily caused by factors such as aging, pregnancy, or weight fluctuations. While there is some slight displacement of the breasts, they still maintain a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Intervention at this stage can be an optimal choice to prevent more severe sagging.

Level 2: Average delay

At level 2, the nipple is located 3 to 5 cm below a horizontal line drawn across the areola. This represents a moderate degree of sagging, with more noticeable signs of drooping. At this stage, the breasts have begun to lose their firmness and roundness, and the internal supporting tissues are showing signs of weakening. At this level, cosmetic interventions may include breast lifts or breast augmentation surgery.

Level 3: Severe delay

Breast ptosis at level 3 is defined when the nipple is located 5 to 10 cm below a horizontal line extending from the areola. At this level, the sagging is quite significant, and the breasts tend to droop, losing all elasticity and support. Breast lift surgery, or a combination of breast lift and breast augmentation with implants, is often recommended to correct this condition.

Level 4: Very severe delay

At level 4, the breasts have severely sagged, with the nipples located more than 10 cm below the inframammary fold, or pointing downwards. This is a severe case of sagging, where the breasts are completely droopy. Doctors often recommend a "anchor" surgery (inverted T incision) to reposition the breasts and restore their original shape and position. Level 3 sagging can be combined with breast augmentation (implant placement)

THE METHOD USED INVOLVES A CERTAIN DEGREE OF LATENCY

For each severity level, different techniques are used to address the prolapse. The following are the appropriate techniques for the four levels of vaginal prolapse

For stage 1 nipple correction: The surgeon will make an incision in a circular arc around the nipple. Then, excess tissue is removed, and finally, sutures are used to stitch the skin around the nipple back together

For level 2 nipple grafts: Similar to level 1, a vertical incision is made along the arc of the areola. However, level 2 differs from level 1 in that it requires the removal of excess skin and the excision of excess glandular tissue within the breast, followed by reshaping the glandular tissue to achieve symmetry

For level 3 breast reduction: The surgeon will make an additional vertical incision extending from the nipple down towards the lower chest. This allows for the removal of a significant amount of fat, glandular tissue, and excess skin, reshaping the glandular tissue to create a smaller, more lifted breast contour

Grade 4 prolapse: This technique involves an inverted T incision and is only used for severe prolapse cases. After removing excess fat, glandular tissue, and sagging skin, the surgeon will perform sutures to lift and reshape the breasts

Combined breast lift and implant placement: This is an optimal method to help customers achieve a firm, attractive bustline after surgery. Specifically, this method combines breast lifting, tailored to the degree of breast sagging in each customer, followed by implant placement to create a more alluring and attractive bust.

POST-OPERATIVE CARE

Phase 1: (Day 1 - Day 2)

During this post-operative phase, patients may still experience symptoms such as tightness and discomfort. They will receive care and recuperation in a dedicated post-operative room, allowing doctors and nurses to closely monitor their condition and provide timely support

Note:

If the patient recovers well, the doctor will likely allow them to be discharged around the second day and continue their recovery at home

After breast augmentation surgery, patients need to travel by car or taxi to ensure comfort and avoid any jolts that could damage the implants. During this period, the breasts are not yet fully stable, and even a slight impact can cause them to shift

Phase 2: (Days 3-10: Clean the incision site twice daily with saline solution and Betadine.)

- Avoid water spinach, chicken, beef, sticky rice products, seafood, and stimulants for one month

- Easy movement and light activity

- Wear a shaping garment all day and all night

- If you experience pain or discomfort, you can take over-the-counter pain relievers

- Always make sure to sleep on your back; avoid sleeping on your side

- Avoid sexual intercourse for 4 weeks

Customer feedback indicates delayed results with the combination of thread lifting and filler injections at Ethics

Because breast lift surgery is an invasive procedure that involves incisions and direct manipulation of the breast tissue, it requires a high level of skill and precision from the surgeon to avoid damaging the sensory nerves in the nipples and to minimize scarring. Therefore, it is important for women to carefully consider and choose a reputable clinic to perform the procedure
